The Emerald High School Marching Band consists of students from 7th-12th grade at Emerald High School and Westview Middle School. This group is a highly competitive ensemble traveling around the state of South Carolina to compete in local, Upperstate, and State Championship Finals. The Marching Band qualified for State Finals in 2021 for the first time in school history and placed in the top 10 of 16 schools with their show, "War Dance". They also perform weekly at home and away football games.

The Marching Band will be competing in the fall of 2022 with their show, "Black Swan". They will be competing across the state this year again in hopes of returning to State Finals for the second year in a row and in school history. As well as providing an expanse of musical experiences, the program also provides opportunities for students to grow as people through teamwork, cooperation, and leadership. Our student leadership team is handpicked through applications, interviews, and training sessions with several of the upstate's best instructors. These opportunities provide students with a well respected foundation for professionalism in their future careers.
